The purpose of Developmental Biology at UGA is to further the study of development in all organisms and at all levels of life, to represent and promote communication among students of development, and to promote the field of developmental biology.

The Developmental Biology faculty at UGA comprises over 25 faculty from eight different departments at UGA, including Animal and Dairy Sciences, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Entomology, Genetics, Microbiology, Plant Biology, and Poultry Science.

Our faculty work in a wide range of organisms and systems. The diversity in interests and approaches generates a lively and interactive environment to promote and support developmental biology research.
